Commercial & Industrial Electrician with strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience across a wide range of electrical systems. The ideal candidate is familiar with — and preferably competent in — installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical components commonly found in commercial, industrial, warehouse, and restaurant environments. This role requires a technician who can work independently, communicate clearly, and maintain a high standard of safety and workmanship. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot EMT conduit systems , including fittings, straps, boxes, wire pulls, and associated circuits. Perform installation and service work on MC armored cable and BX cable , ensuring compliance with code requirements. Diagnose and repair motor controls , contactors , VFDs , and related control equipment. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 120V-480V lighting systems , power equipment, and distribution components. Understand and assist with shunt trip systems , Ansul fire suppression interlocks , and basic commercial/industrial fire alarm components . Provide reliable troubleshooting and maintenance for industrial , commercial , warehouse , and restaurant electrical systems , including equipment commonly used in these environments. Ensure all work meets NEC code requirements , safety standards, and facility operational needs. Required Knowledge & Skills EMT conduit installation, bending, support methods, and code compliance MC/BX cable routing, termination, and troubleshooting Motor control fundamentals: contactors, overloads, relays, VFD operation Lighting systems across 120V-480V ranges Basic fire alarm and suppression system electrical interfaces Strong diagnostic skills for commercial and industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and general electrical safety practices Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience Experience in restaurant electrical maintenance (hood systems, heat lamps, refrigeration circuits, etc.) Understanding of facility equipment such as conveyors, HVAC electrical components, and panelboard layouts Journeyman or equivalent experience (not required but highly valued)
