In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes. You will play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable electrical solutions that support ongoing construction, renovation projects, and operational needs. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks. Perform electrical wiring and low-voltage system work in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects by providing expert electrical installation support. Troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently on construction sites or existing facilities to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for industrial or commercial projects. Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, installations, and compliance checks for audit purposes. Skills Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprint reading techniques. Fire alarm and suppression system experience nice to have. Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols including OSHA standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly under pressure while maintaining high safety standards. Able to drive to client sites in and around Columbus, OH.

Pay:

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour
