Full-Time We are looking for a licensed Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician to join our team as the Lead Electrician on job sites . This position is specifically for an experienced electrician who is comfortable taking ownership of a job from start to finish , directing the work in the field, and making sure projects are completed safely, correctly, and efficiently. Responsibilities Serve as the Lead Electrician on assigned jobs Take responsibility for the day-to-day electrical work and progress on the job Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and specifications Lead and direct other electricians and apprentices on site when applicable Ensure all work is performed according to the applicable electrical codes and project requirements Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve problems in the field Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, inspectors, and other trades Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance Identify material and equipment needs and communicate them to management Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company well on every job Qualifications Valid Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician License required Strong knowledge of the Rhode Island Electrical Code and NEC Proven experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work Previous experience leading electrical jobs or crews Ability to read electrical plans and perform layout Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work Must be dependable, professional, and take pride in quality workmanship What We're Looking For We are not looking for someone who simply wants to turn wrenches under someone else's direction . This position is for a journeyman who is ready to take the lead on the job . The right candidate will be someone who can walk onto a job site, understand what needs to happen, organize the work, lead others when necessary, solve problems, and make sure the job gets done right.
