Electrician - BAS/Mechanical Installation

Superior Skilled Trades is actively hiring experienced Electricians for long-term commercial and industrial projects in Columbia, SC.

Pay:

$27-$35/hour (DOE)

Hours:

Day Shift, 40-50 hours/week

Job Description

Seeking experienced Electricians with commercial or industrial experience to install and wire Building Automation Systems (BAS), mechanical equipment, and electrical systems. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, reading blueprints, and completing quality installations while following NEC and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret electrical one-lines, blueprints, control diagrams, schematics, and wiring schedules.

Install EMT, FMC, and rigid conduit, junction boxes, and pull low- and line-voltage wiring.

Terminate BAS control panels, VFDs, mechanical equipment, electrical panels, switches, fixtures, and devices.

Perform grounding, labeling, testing, and as-built documentation.

Assist with equipment startup by verifying power, polarity, and circuit continuity.

Ensure all work complies with NEC codes and site safety requirements.

Maintain tools and equipment and coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines.

Participate in daily safety meetings and job-site toolbox talks.

Qualifications

2+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience (3-5 years preferred).

Experience with BAS systems, controls, VFDs, mechanical equipment wiring, or low-voltage systems preferred.

Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Strong understanding of NEC and safe electrical work practices.

OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 and

NFPA 70E

preferred).

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 75 lbs.

Work from ladders, aerial lifts, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.

Local travel throughout the Columbia, SC area is required.

May require travel up to 2 hours statewide based on project needs.
