As a full-service turnkey installer with over 20 years of experience, the company is known for completing projects on budget and on schedule. Omega Contractors provides in-house project management and estimating, giving clients a seamless, coordinated experience from planning through execution. The team focuses on new technology installations, offering modern, efficient solutions for a wide range of industrial and commercial projects. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Journeyman role based in Austin, TX. The Electrical Journeyman will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, running conduit and wiring, installing panels and fixtures, and troubleshooting electrical issues. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and other trades on mechanical rigging and installation work, supporting new technology installs, and completing assigned tasks within project timelines. The Electrical Journeyman is expected to follow strict safety procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a professional jobsite environment. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, including working with panels, breakers, conduits, and wiring. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, and apply them to field installations. Strong knowledge of relevant electrical codes, OSHA safety standards, and best practices on construction and industrial sites. Experience working alongside mechanical rigging, pipe fitting, or other trades on turnkey installation projects is beneficial. Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical system issues. Reliable time management skills with the ability to stay on schedule, follow project plans, and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate respectfully with supervisors, clients, and coworkers. Valid electrical journeyman license or equivalent certification in Texas, with a strong record of safe, compliant work. Physical ability to perform job tasks, including lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods, and working in various site conditions. Prior experience in new technology or advanced equipment installations in industrial or commercial settings is a plus.
