Job Overview TC Electrical Services is seeking a dependable Texas-licensed Journeyman Electrician for a commercial construction project in Farmers Branch. The position involves installing commercial electrical systems, coordinating work with an apprentice and completing assigned work safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong commercial experience, can read electrical drawings, perform layout, install conduit and complete branch-circuit wiring with limited supervision. Dependable attendance is essential—the typical shift begins at 7:00 a.m. Responsibilities Install conduit, supports, boxes, conductors and electrical equipment Perform layout using electrical drawings, specifications and field conditions Bend and install EMT and other raceway systems Install, identify and terminate branch-circuit wiring Perform lighting, receptacle and equipment-circuit installations Work safely with 120/208-volt and 277/480-volt systems Direct and assist an electrical apprentice with assigned work Troubleshoot installation issues and communicate concerns promptly Safely operate ladders and lifts when trained and authorized Maintain an organized work area and accurate material counts Follow NEC requirements, project specifications and jobsite safety procedures Arrive on time and communicate promptly regarding scheduling issues Qualifications Active Texas Journeyman Electrician license required Commercial electrical construction experience required Strong conduit-bending and installation skills Ability to read electrical drawings and perform basic layout Experience with commercial lighting and branch-circuit installations Ability to work productively with limited supervision Ability to direct and work alongside an apprentice Reliable transportation to the Farmers Branch jobsite Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders or lifts Standard electrical hand tools and appropriate work clothing required Pay and Schedule $30-$33 per hour, based on commercial experience and demonstrated ability Approximately 40-50 hours per week Typical start time is 7:00 a.m. Occasional overtime or Saturday work may be available or required Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours Full-time, temporary W-2 employee position This assignment is expected to last approximately five months. Continued employment afterward may be available depending on TC Electrical Services' workload and employee performance.
