FULL-TIME POSITION ABOUT JAMES FRANCIS ELECTRIC
James Francis Electric, Inc. is a growing commercial electrical contractor serving San Antonio and the surrounding South Texas region. We specialize in commercial construction, healthcare facilities, restaurants, schools, retail developments, industrial facilities, tenant finish-outs, municipal projects, and design-build electrical construction. We are seeking experienced electricians who take pride in quality workmanship, professionalism, leadership, accountability, and project execution.
POSITION OVERVIEW
James Francis Electric is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician capable of operating at a Working Foreman level. This position is intended for a highly skilled electrician capable of leading field operations while actively participating in electrical installations. The successful candidate will coordinate with Project Management, Superintendents, General Contractors, Inspectors, Vendors, and other trades while maintaining productivity and quality standards. This is not a "stand around and supervise" position. We believe in Working Leadership. Our Foremen are expected to wear tools, work alongside their crews, train apprentices, solve problems, maintain production, and lead by example. Depending on project size, manpower, and schedule, responsibilities may vary between hands-on installation and field leadership. Larger projects may require increased coordination and leadership responsibilities, while smaller projects may require the Foreman to remain heavily involved in daily installations.

This position is considered a Foreman-Level Leadership Position within the Construction Operations Division.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✓ Current Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License ✓ Current Valid Driver License ✓ 2+ Years Commercial/ Industrial Electrical Experience as a Journeyman ✓Ability to Pass Company Vehicle Insurance Requirements ✓ Ability to Read Construction Drawings and Specifications ✓ Strong Leadership and Communication Skills ✓ Ability to Coordinate Construction Activities ✓ Ability to Travel When Required Applicants who do not possess a current Texas Journeyman Electrician License and valid Texas Driver License will not be considered for this position.
REQUIRED TOOL INVENTORY
Applicants must possess the necessary tools to perform as a fully developed commercial electrician. Required tools include, but are not limited to: Electrical Hand Tools Tool Pouch and/or Tool Bag Personal Power Tools Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Personal Conduit Benders (1/2", 3/4", and 1") Fish Tape Socket Sets Channel Locks Screwdrivers Nut Drivers Wire Strippers Crimpers Levels Tape Measure Hammer Adjustable Wrenches Standard Electrical Testing Equipment James Francis Electric provides larger and specialty equipment as needed, including: Large SDS and Spline Drills Large Band Saws Specialty Knockout Sets Hydraulic and Mechanical Benders Large Crimpers Specialty Test Equipment Specialty Meters Jack Hammers Trenchers Forklifts Lifts Company-Owned Jobsite Equipment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and electrical drawings. Perform project layout. Install raceway systems. Install feeders and branch circuitry. Install electrical equipment. Install transformers. Install distribution equipment. Install lighting and lighting controls. Pull and terminate conductors. Install motor circuits and equipment connections. Maintain NEC compliance. Maintain company quality standards. Complete work safely and efficiently. Train and develop apprentices. Coordinate manpower and daily work activities. Maintain project schedules and production goals. Communicate project issues promptly.
FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary field representative of James Francis Electric on assigned projects. Coordinate daily with General Contractors. Coordinate with other trades. Attend coordination meetings when required. Schedule and coordinate inspections. Monitor project progress. Communicate manpower requirements. Coordinate material needs. Maintain project documentation. Support Project Management and Superintendents. Promote safety, productivity, and professionalism.

OUT-OF-TOWN PROJECTS
James Francis Electric performs work throughout Texas and occasionally requires employees to travel.
For qualifying out-of-town projects:
Company transportation is provided. Employees typically report to the office and travel in company vehicles. Personal vehicle use is generally not required. Company-paid lodging is provided. Daily meal per diem is provided. Overnight stay per diem is provided. Advance notice is typically provided whenever possible. Employees must be willing and able to travel when business needs require.
