Job Description

About the Role As a Facilities and Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational continuity by performing complex mechanical and electrical repairs. You will leverage your technical expertise to optimize machine performance, minimize downtime, and contribute to a high-functioning production environment. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive overhauls and rebuilds of industrial machinery, including gearboxes, feeding mechanisms, and precision components. Maintain and troubleshoot critical plant infrastructure, such as HVAC systems, compressors, plumbing, and material handling equipment like overhead cranes. Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and electronic malfunctions, including microprocessor troubleshooting and circuit re-routing. Interpret intricate blueprints, schematics, and technical layouts to perform precise machine alignments and component fitting. Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and levels to ensure equipment meets rigorous operational standards. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members to foster skill development and maintain efficient workflow. Proactively identify and implement corrective actions to balance electrical loads and improve system reliability. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field. Proficiency in both mechanical repair and electrical/electronic troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established protocols. Preferred Skills Experience with advanced circuit design and control system diagnostics. Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics. Willingness to pursue ongoing technical training and professional certifications.
