Multi-National Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced Instrument/Electrician for a position at our manufacturing facility in Apple Grove, WV. We do not sponsor work visas.•As an Instrument/Electrician for APG Polytech, LLC manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and trouble-shooting of electrical, electronic and PLC controlled systems used in the plant.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Experience in using, calibrating and repairing a wide variety of electrical equipment and instrumentation devices including but not limited to: Allen Bradley

PLC 5, SLC

500, Control Logix using RS Linx, RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 5 Variable Frequency Drives Rosemount Instrumentation-Electronic/Smart Transmitters using Hart Communicator Control Valve Experience with Fisher, Valtek & Jamesbury Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear Relay Control Systems 3 Phase Motor Controls • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain various electrical tools, testing devices, meters, etc. Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, electrical testing equipment Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of high voltage electrical testing and safety procedures Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality in all work Ability to work in a fast paced environment Follow company policies and established procedures and maintains clean work area Focus on delivering value to the organization Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop/PLC and HMI programming software such as Allen Bradley, Siemens and SAP Maintenance Module Excellent problem solving skills Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities :

Must have ability to install, maintain and trouble-shoot electrical and electronics equipment as assigned. Perform maintenance on frequency drives, uploads and downloads PLC programs, and reads ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electrical or instrument malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make the necessary repairs Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations

Education:

Associates degree preferred

Years of Experience:

at least 2 years of related experience or equivalent education Must be willing and available to work 12 hour rotating shifts
