$48,000-$50,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunities About Us Desert Rain Construction LLC is a licensed general contractor (ROC #343465) based in Cochise County, specializing in roofing and remodels. We work primarily through referral relationships with Realtors, property managers, and repeat customers who value licensed, trustworthy work over the lowest bid. We run our business on JobTread for estimating, contracts, and job tracking. The Role We're looking for an estimator to own the estimate process from lead to signed contract — meeting homeowners and property managers on-site, scoping the work, and producing accurate, professional estimates. What You'll Do Conduct in-person site visits and measurements for roofing and remodel projects Prepare detailed, accurate estimates in JobTread based on our established pricing model Follow up with prospective clients and referral partners (Realtors, property managers) to move estimates to signed contracts Monitor social media and local community groups for people asking for contractor recommendations, and reach out early to bring in new leads Coordinate with the field crew and ownership on scope, sequencing, and material needs Assist with job cost analysis on completed work, comparing actual costs against the original estimate Maintain organized records of estimates, follow-ups, and job status Represent Desert Rain professionally — this role is often the client's first impression of the company What We're Looking For Experience estimating construction, roofing, or related trade work Comfortable reading roofs, measuring accurately, and identifying scope of work in the field Strong organizational skills — able to manage multiple estimates and follow-ups at once without letting things slip Clear, professional communication with clients, Realtors, and property managers Self-motivated and reliable — able to manage a daily schedule of site visits independently Proactive about finding new business, including watching local social media groups for leads Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bonus Points For Knowledge of roofing systems (shingle, tile, flat/foam) Familiarity with insurance claim estimates Experience with JobTread or similar construction management software Existing relationships with local Realtors or property managers What We Offer A growing, licensed company with steady referral-based work Direct mentorship from ownership on pricing and estimating systems already built out Room to grow into a larger role as the company scales Bonus opportunities [Benefits, PTO — fill in before posting]
