POSITION IS OFFERED BY A NO FEE STAFFING AGENCY

Currently recruiting for a Estimator here leads full preconstruction and estimating efforts for complex commercial, federal, and high-end residential projects.

Responsibilities include managing conceptual budgets, performing thorough quantity takeoffs, analyzing subcontractor bids, and presenting Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals.

Responsibilities:

Creating detailed, accurate quantity takeoffs for all trades. Reviewing project drawings, bid packages, and contract documents to identify potential risks and scopes of work. Developing conceptual budgets and value engineering solutions during the preconstruction phase. Managing the subcontractor and vendor bidding process, and leading bid evaluation reviews. Assisting with final presentation of estimates and proposals to project executives and clients.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

A Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering combined with at least 4+ years of estimating experience on ground-up commercial projects.

Local Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the South Florida subcontractor market and pricing databases.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in modern estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Cost-X) and MS Excel.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work under the pressure of hard bid deadlines, build relationships with architects and owners, and collaborate smoothly with project management teams.
