We provide full-service design-build capabilities in Light Rail Systems, Fiber Optic Infrastructure, Utility Power Systems, Military Medical Maintenance and Repair, and Renewable Energy Systems.

Frequent Job Site Visits Job Summary:
The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of Electrical construction projects with a focus in utility scale infrastructure and renewables. They are responsible for estimating, coordinating resources, managing budgets, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Experience in self-performing electrical construction preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and estimates Develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for information. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. Review and understand project contract and development of subcontract and service agreements Identify project requirements and secure necessary permits and approvals. 2.
Team Leadership and Management:
Assemble, lead, and manage project teams, including subcontractors, 3rd party professional services, and site supervisors. Works closely with the construction management/ field supervision to ensure successful delivery of the project. Monitor team performance and address issues proactively. Maintain a professional appearance with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and to provide positive leadership to motivate personnel. 3.
Budget and Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets and establish cost codes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Responsible for project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting. Review & approve all project expenses and cost code correctly Implement measures to prevent cost overruns and manage risks. Responsible for the invoicing or payment application process as well as monitoring the quality of weekly labor and equipment hours, material, and subcontractor reporting Develop, negotiate, submit, track, and maintain client and/or subcontractor change orders. 4.
Schedule Management:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress for all construction activities. Identify and resolve potential delays to keep projects on track. 5.
Quality Control:
Ensure all construction activities meet company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections to verify quality and compliance. Address defects or issues promptly to maintain high standards. Develop & maintain project documents in project folder. 6.
Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve project challenges and unforeseen issues quickly and efficiently with field supervisor/ superintendent. Maintain flexibility to adapt to changes in scope or circumstances. 7.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Generate daily, weekly, or monthly meeting documents as required. Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure satisfaction. 8.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure projects comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site. Conduct safety audits and address non-compliance issues.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Excel, Procore, HCSS, Word & MS Project). Deep knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. Through understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and activities for HMS Construction lines of business. Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in construction management, estimating, and/or project management, including experience with utility infrastructure and utility-scale solar projects. Experience should include coordination of civil and electrical scopes, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client requirements. A BS or AS with a primary focus in Construction or Project Management is highly desired, or equivalent work experience. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of electrical construction installations, controls, and parts to effectively estimate proposals to ensure profitability and award Must possess a valid Hawaii driver's license, good driving record, and able to drive to various jobsites when necessary This job requisition has an expected salary range. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
