In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, and homes ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings, managing project budgets, and communicating effectively with clients will drive successful project outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your construction industry experience and estimating skills to contribute to high-profile projects and foster strong client relationships. Duties Review construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs. Utilize estimating software such as Drip Jobs HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop detailed project estimates. Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work, identify potential risks, and develop cost-effective solutions. Prepare detailed bid proposals, including pricing strategies, cost breakdowns, and schedule considerations. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and ensure competitive pricing. Manage multiple projects simultaneously by tracking costs, updating estimates, and ensuring adherence to budgets throughout the bidding process. Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to interpret technical drawings and clarify project requirements. Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground information that impacts estimating accuracy. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project for transparency and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating for commercial projects with a strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, along with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for cost analysis. Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans. Expertise in cost management, material cost estimating, and estimating construction project budgets. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Familiarity with construction management software systems used for project tracking and documentation. Construction house painting site experience is highly desirable for accurate assessment of on-site conditions impacting estimates. Knowledge of contracts, legal considerations in construction projects, and cost control strategies is essential.
