Job Summary:

Responsible for seeking out opportunities that fit both our construction and trucking companies and responsible for preparing the full estimates and managing the Pre-Construction process by being responsible for submitting bid proposals on both private and public projects. Works directly and communicates with Chief Estimator to set measurables and targets as in relation to backlog, profit, and covering overhead. Manages the bid process, CLI Software, Imports of successful projects in Foundation. Responsible reading, reviewing, and comprehending the plans at bid time enabling themselves to accurately put together a competitive bid with the correct cost following the "Otwell Estimating/Bid Procedures" that have been established. Required Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum experience in Project Management or Estimating
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
• Experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform detailed takeoffs
• Well organized and must have good document control skills
• Must work well on a team and have good teamwork skills Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to achieve $20M of backlog it is not unreasonable to bid on 200 projects throughout the year with a target of being successful on 20-30 proposals.
• Lead by example by covering ensure we have safety covered in all bids and it is a priority
• Evaluate any RFP's (Requests for Proposals) that we receive and identify where we can off our customers the most value.
• Compile the bid/job folder with necessary documents and format.
• Review the plans and specs carefully. On lump sum projects ensure there are no scope gaps and clarify and discrepancies with engineer/owner.
• Obtain competitive quotes from vendors/subs. We need a minimum of 2 quotes for all features of work where it is possible.
• Perform takeoffs to accurately quantity the materials and quantities needed.
• Inform supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items
• Execute labor/equipment/material/trucking evaluations
• Perform jobsite visits with appropriate team members.
• Host formal bid review meeting for all projects with Chief Estimator
• Own the bid process and be responsible to ensure a compliant and proper bid is submitted on time and with the correct documentation
• Handle any/all post-bid documents that need to be submitted and executed
• Help build the brand and promote Otwell Services to current and potential clients
• Represent the brand properly by always carrying yourself correctly and communicating with customers, vendors, engineers, owners properly
• Build long term relationships with new and existing customers

Pay:

$90,000.00

• $110,000.
