Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our commercial construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing blueprints and technical drawings, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers. Your expertise will ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed within budget. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs. Develop comprehensive project budgets by analyzing scope, specifications, and market conditions using estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms. Manage multiple projects simultaneously by preparing detailed cost estimates, tracking changes, and maintaining accurate spreadsheets. Utilize construction management software to monitor project costs, update estimates, and ensure alignment with project goals. Conduct material cost estimating by sourcing quotes from suppliers and analyzing historical data for cost control. Review construction contracts, manage project budgets, and oversee cost management strategies to minimize risks and maximize profitability. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately assess scope of work and estimate resources needed for successful project execution. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on estimate progress, clarify project requirements, and address any concerns proactively. Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that inform bidding strategies and project planning. Requirements Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent platforms; familiarity with Bluebeam for blueprint markup is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of construction management software systems for cost tracking and project coordination. Excellent skills in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction documents accurately. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve competitive pricing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and cost modeling. Solid understanding of construction estimating principles including material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and budget development. Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating tools is a plus. Strong background in managing construction site activities, contracts, and project management processes. Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels. Construction industry experience with a focus on commercial projects is essential; prior site experience is highly valued. Pay:

$62,119.83 - $74,810.98 per year
