Commercial Construction Estimator

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating public & private sector construction projects in the $1
• 10 million range , with at least three years of experience working as an estimator for a commercial general contractor .

This role requires fluency in modern estimating platforms and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and timely estimates. Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and subcontractor/vendor solicitation. Analyze and interpret bid requirements and respond accordingly. Develop detailed scopes of work and pricing for public and private commercial construction projects. Maintain and manage bid schedules, deadlines, and pre-bid meetings. Utilize digital takeoff and estimating tools such as Bluebeam and ZZTakeoff Submit and manage bids through platforms like Planhub, Building Connected, and Bluebook. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and align project goals. Maintain a current database of cost information, subcontractor contacts, and pricing trends. Participate in value engineering and project handoff to operations. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator for a commercial general contractor . Proven experience estimating public and private projects in the $1M

• 10M range.

Proficient in Bluebeam , OST (On-Screen Takeoff) , or ZZTakeoff . Familiar with online bid platforms including Planhub and Building Connected Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience with public bidding requirements, government contracting, and prevailing wage rules. Familiarity with local subcontractor market and pricing structures. Pay Range
