President. The primary role involves producing project-specific construction estimates from drawings and specifications, as well as overseeing staff estimators.

Develop accurate electrical construction estimates, conduct material take-offs, and prepare final estimates incorporating all costs, expenses, and markups.

Manage conceptual designs for systems including mechanical, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, tele/data, and instrumentation.

Analyze detailed drawings, price value-engineered alternatives, solicit vendor quotes, and draft comprehensive proposals.

Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and job turnover meetings while strictly adhering to bid schedules and deadline pressures.

Maintain and upgrade the company's estimating databases, and uphold core values of integrity, accountability, competence, teamwork, creativity, and innovation.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar studies is preferred.10 or more years of progressive experience in the electrical construction industry, focusing on large commercial and industrial projects.

OSHA 30 and
NFPA 70E
certifications are required.

Proficiency with Code requirements, basic electrical engineering calculations (Ohm's law, voltage-drop, wire ampacity), and major estimating programs like ConEst or Accubid.

Valid NYS driver's license free from major infractions is required.

Physical, Environmental, and Supervisory RequirementsThe Senior Estimator directly supervises staff, including one estimator, and manages their training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Must be able to work overtime or weekends, commute up to two hours, and utilize construction site sanitary facilities.

Requires the physical ability to climb tall ladders, perform repetitive motions, and exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.

Environments include indoor and outdoor settings with potential exposure to extreme weather, fumes, dust, high places, and confined spaces
