Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detailed Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for reviewing complex bid specifications, performing accurate material takeoffs, and preparing comprehensive cost estimates for commercial and residential flooring projects. This role involves direct interaction with contractors, suppliers, and sales team, internal management, to ensure accurate bidding and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Takeoff & Estimation :
Perform detailed material takeoffs (resilient athletic flooring, wood, and other commercial flooring products) using Callidus or similar, calculating labor and material requirements.
Bid Management :
Prepare, finalize, and submit (to our sales team) complete bid packages, ensuring all specifications and addenda are included.
Relationship Management :
Liaise with material suppliers, general contractors, architects, senior estimator and owners as needed.
Project Evaluation :
Analyze blueprints and project manuals to determine accurate scopes of work.
Field Support :
Visit job sites when necessary to determine accurate site conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
1+ years of experience as a construction estimator, blue print reading, specifically in flooring or interior finishes.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in flooring takeoff software (e.g., Callidus, RFMS, Measure, etc), Bluebeam Revu and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Knowledge :
Deep understanding of flooring materials, installation methods, and construction documents.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
