Experienced Plumbing Estimator! 🛠️📊 Are you a seasoned Plumbing Estimator with a passion for precision and efficiency in commercial construction? Our client, a leading firm in the commercial mechanical construction sector, is seeking a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your extensive experience in plumbing or heating estimation to impactful projects. 🔹

What You'll Do:

Perform detailed job takeoffs and pricing for plumbing and mechanical projects.
Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate closely with the VP of Estimating to develop and maintain estimating databases and spreadsheets.
Ensure a smooth transition of projects from estimation to project management.
Lead and finalize job estimates, including writing clear and professional scope letters.
Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and coworkers.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in plumbing or heating estimation, or completion of an approved apprenticeship program with at least 3 years as a Journeyman.
Proven 4 years of prior estimating experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints with strong knowledge of plumbing and piping installations.
Strong math and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software (Estimation and/or Quicken experience preferred).
Excellent communication skills for conducting scope reviews and vendor negotiations.
Valid Driver's License.
High School Diploma or GED; Journeyman Plumber or HVAC license (or equivalent experience) required.
