Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors including hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, retail construction, and multifamily construction. Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs. Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of projects and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide cost data regarding project feasibility. Conduct risk analysis and provide strategies to overcome potential financial risks. Prepare and present cost reports and findings to senior management. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in construction estimation techniques. Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role. Proven experience in estimating construction costs for various sectors including hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, retail construction, and multifamily construction. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in computer software for cost estimation. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other relevant certification would be considered an advantage.
