Our staffing agency is partnered with an established commercial contractor in the Greater Pittsburgh area looking for an analytical, detail-driven Construction Estimator. If you have a sharp eye for numbers, a proven track record of winning profitable commercial building projects, and want to command a salary of up to $95,000, this is your next step. You will lead the pre-construction phase by transforming blueprints into precise, competitive cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Takeoffs:
Complete highly detailed material, labor, and equipment takeoffs from structural blueprints and architectural drawings.
Bid Management:
Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for comprehensive commercial building projects.
Vendor & Sub Contractor Out-reach:
Build and maintain strong relationships with local subcontractors to secure competitive, scoped pricing.
Scope Realignment:
Review subcontractor proposals to ensure zero scope gaps and eliminate redundant costs prior to bid day.
Historical Cost Analysis:
Maintain and update unit cost databases to reflect current market pricing and regional material trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, or equivalent field experience.2-5+ years of dedicated estimating experience specifically focused on commercial building projects.

Advanced proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Center On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, WinEst, or Edge).Exceptional understanding of CSI MasterFormat divisions, commercial MEP systems, and structural assemblies.
