Join Our Team as a Commercial Estimating Assistant Arko Flooring is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic, hardworking team. Job Summary As a Commercial Estimating Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting our Commercial operations by leveraging your expertise in estimating software and blueprint interpretation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating accurate quantity take-offs using specialized estimating software from detailed project drawings. Reviewing and interpreting project specifications to eliminate ambiguities and ensure precision. Preparing comprehensive, software-generated take-off reports to serve as the foundation for project estimates. Managing and tracking completed and upcoming take-off assignments. Collaborating with architects, Project Managers, and General Contractors to address project-related questions. Occasionally preparing detailed project estimates. Assisting with field measurements, as necessary. Performing additional tasks required to meet job demands. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience: 1+ years of experience in estimating or a related field, particularly in the flooring industry. Proficiency with estimating software and tools for drawing take-offs (e.g., PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately. Knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards . Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Proven ability to prioritize tasks , meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
