Commercial Glazier Yuma, AZ Full-time Full-time Commercial Glazier:
Carlson Glass is seeking experienced full-time glaziers in the commercial glass/glazing industry. This person must be a problem-solver, have exceptional communication skills, have a strong work ethic, and have a willingness to adapt and learn. Qualifications /
Requirements:
Glass/Glazing Experience:
at least three years of verifiable experience. Understanding of drawings & specifications. Understanding of construction schedules. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform general physical activities. (i.e. climbing, lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, balancing, and handling large, sharp, heavy, fragile and potentially dangerous materials). Qualified and competent in the operation of small equipment / tools. Qualifications and competence in the operations of heavy equipment a plus. (i.e. forklift, scissor lift, boom lift) Must have reliable transportation. Must have tools of the trade.
Responsibilities:
Install aluminum window frames, door frames, unitized window systems, store fronts and curtain walls. Hang large, heavy all-glass doors into installed aluminum door frames. Safely handle and move large, heavy, sharp and fragile glass units, aluminum frames, and other materials. Install materials into rough openings, often on the front of multi-story buildings, requiring working at extreme heights. Interpret drawings & specifications to determine size, type and dimensions of glass and to establish location for staging materials, framing and installation procedures. Maintain OSHA-10 (minimum) certification. Possible out-of-town work. Our jobsite crews typically work 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday. However, some jobsites required 8 hour days Monday - Friday.
