In this role, you will be responsible for accurately installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. Responsibilities Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of windows and doors. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fitting, and installing glass components in accordance with project specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to install window frames, door frames, trim carpentry, metal studs, drywall, and fixtures. Perform heavy lifting of glass panels, door units, framing materials, and other heavy components while maintaining safety protocols. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret dimensions and installation requirements for various window and door systems. Conduct quality control measurements during installation to ensure proper fit, alignment, sealing (caulking), and finish work. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects by performing tasks such as drywall finishing, construction painting, cabinet installation, and fixture setup. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety standards on-site. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, or related trades with a focus on window or door installation. Familiarity with glass materials handling, fabrication processes, and glass installation techniques. Strong knowledge of construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and measurement practices for quality control. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, tape measures; proficient with power tools required for framing and finishing work. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and material handling. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex installations. Construction site experience including remodeling projects involving drywall finishing, caulking applications, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, fixture installation and general handyman tasks is highly desirable.
