$21.00 + depending on previous experience Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial glass products. This role requires a strong understanding of various installation techniques, as well as proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Glass Installer will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Candidates without 5 years of commercial glazing experience will not be considered. Duties Fabricate and install commercial glazing systems such as storefront, curtainwall, punched openings, and re-glazed windows. Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions using appropriate tools. Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning and caulking, as necessary. Assemble frames and install glass panels securely. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on glass options. Perform routine maintenance on installed glass products to ensure longevity and safety. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial glazing is mandatory (5+ years) Proficiency in caulking techniques to ensure proper sealing of installations. Ability to build custom frames or supports as needed for specific projects using hand tools or power tools. Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus.
