Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled glazier who has both technical expertise and practical, on-the-job know-how. You will work in a team-oriented culture and with an assistant, when necessary, to provide a second set of hands and eyes for you on jobs that require it. You'll take the lead on your jobs and take responsibility for doing the work right and treating co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect. You'll "own" your job and strive to do the best installation, represent the company professionally, and be a solid team player. Duties Set glass doors into frames; bolt metal hinges, locks, handles and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls using a level and other needed tools Install pre-assembled wood or metal frameworks for doors and windows before glass panel installation using hand tools Cut, assemble, measure or install metal frames and enclosures for glass panels in various areas and structures, including bathtubs, showers, display cases, solariums, skylights, and other residential and commercial glass applications Read and understand blueprints and specifications to know necessary work details, including color, shape, size, type and thickness of glass to be installed, framing location, procedures for installation and any scaffolding or other staging items needed before beginning work Problem solve, when needed, to ensure the best possible outcome of every job Drive trucks to work locations and unload tools and equipment, and use suction cups or other devices to lift out glass panels when necessary Cut and remove old and broken glass before installing replacement glass; dispose debris Pack loose areas between glass panels and molding or frames with glazing compound, and trim excess material with a glazing knife Lift, hold and secure heavy glass panels and mirrors into position with putty, cement, screws or bolts Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety on the construction site Interact with customers, exude professional image Other duties as assigned Experience Candidates should possess: 5+ years working as a glazier or commercial glazier High school diploma or equivalent Honesty, strong work ethic, and positive attitude Dependable, team player; excellent interpersonal and communication skills Courteous and clean appearance Desire to create a positive customer experience Excellent hand-eye coordination; detail oriented Good at mathematics OSHA-10 certification Knowledge and use of building and construction methods, materials and tools Effective critical thinker and problem solver Ability to lift at least 70 pounds Valid Driver's License Pass Drug Tests, Background Check, and Driving Record Benefits Health Insurance 401k Paid Vacations/Holidays Direct Deposit Competitive Pay/Bonuses On Site and Safety Training Growth Opportunities Come be part of a great team!
