In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that window systems are properly fitted, sealed, and functioning optimally, contributing to the overall safety, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of our clients' properties. Responsibilities Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to accurately install window systems according to specifications. Handle glass materials carefully during fabrication, transportation, and installation to prevent damage. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble window frames and glass components. Install windows, including frame carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and trim carpentry to ensure proper fit and finish. Perform quality control measurements to verify the accuracy of dimensions, alignment, and sealing of installed windows. Conduct caulking and sealing procedures to prevent air or water leaks around window units. Assist with remodeling projects by providing handyman services such as drywall repair, painting touch-ups, or metal stud framing as needed. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a focus on window installation or related carpentry work. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment. Experience handling glass materials safely during installation or manufacturing processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Familiarity with construction estimating and working from construction plans for accurate project execution. Knowledge of caulking techniques, door hanging, fixture installation, metal stud framing, and remodeling practices is highly desirable.
