Terms of Employment:
240 days per year. At-Will employment agreement. The salary is in pay grade N11 on the Non- Exempt SAISD Compensation Plan. Entry hourly is $20.70 with consideration for directly related experience.

This position is locally funded Position Summary To assist in the attainment of District goals through implementation of effective and efficient painting and glazing programs by coordinating daily painting and glazing operations, assisting in work planning and crew assignments, monitoring the quality and progress of projects, maintaining materials and equipment, promoting safe work practices, and providing guidance to assigned personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with District standards and operational needs. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 1. Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to assigned painters and glazier personnel and performed painter/glazier work as needed. 2. Order paint materials and glazing materials; maintain an adequate inventory. 3. Delegate work assignments and conduct quality assurance on work products. 4. Inspect buildings for painting and glazing needs. 5. Coordinate paint and glass work with other crafts. 6. Provide guidance, and training to personnel in mixing and matching colors. 7. Be responsible for meeting deadlines, quality standards, and employee morale and training. 8. Approve timesheets and leave for subordinates. 9. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting 7 years of experience as a journeyman painter Glazing experience Asbestos O&M Supervisor (Restricted) license from the Texas Department of State Health Services within 1 year of employment. EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule Certification. Candidate may work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee

8/25/2026 Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supervising a team of painters or glaziers. Experience working with equipment such as pressure washers and stairlifts. Previous experience working with contractors and multi-trade teams. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and federal policies. Physical Demands/Requirements:
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, pulling and pushing; reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity and prolonged data input; occasional lift/carry light, moderate 15-44 pounds.
