Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Fireproofing Specialist, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding structures through expert fireproofing techniques. Also must have experience in industrial fireproofing at refineries. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure optimal adhesion of fireproofing materials Apply fire-resistant coatings, sprays, or wraps using hand tools and power tools in accordance with blueprint specifications and technical schematics Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately follow project requirements for fireproofing installation Use ladders, scaffolding, and climbing equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas on construction sites Follow strict safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tool safety procedures Collaborate with carpenters, masons, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts and ensure seamless project execution Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for quality assurance and client communication Skills Construction estimating experience to assess project scope and material needs accurately Be trained and worked in refineries Proficiency in ladder use, scaffolding setup, and climbing techniques for working at heights safely Mechanical knowledge related to insulation installation, fabrication, and building systems such as HVAC or metal stud framing Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, putty knives) and power tools necessary for fireproofing tasks Strong understanding of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and following schematics precisely Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations Experience with building insulation installation including stucco, spray foam, or other fire-resistant materials Knowledge of construction site safety protocols including OSHA standards and site-specific procedures Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or technical issues Familiarity with construction painting, drywall finishing, masonry work or related trades is a plus This position offers a rewarding career path in the construction industry with opportunities for growth.
