Insulation Technician Eco Elite Insulation Little Elm, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $56,942.03 - $80,000.00 a year 8 hours ago Qualifications Blown-in insulation installation Building insulation installation Attic insulation installation Installing insulation Full Job Description Core Job Duties Install insulation materials in residential and sometimes commercial attics (fiberglass batts, blown-in cellulose, fiberglass, mineral wool, or spray foam). Prepare attics for insulation by clearing debris, removing old or damaged insulation, and ensuring proper ventilation. Seal air leaks, gaps, and penetrations around pipes, wires, recessed lights, and chimneys before installing insulation. Measure attic spaces and calculate the correct amount of insulation needed (R-value requirements). Operate insulation blowing machines and other specialized equipment. Cut and fit insulation around obstacles (trusses, ducts, wiring) to ensure complete coverage without compressing the material. Inspect attics for moisture issues, mold, pest infestations, or structural problems and report findings. Ensure proper attic ventilation is maintained or improved during installation. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE (respirator, Tyvek suit, gloves, eye protection). Work in confined, hot, dusty, and sometimes hazardous spaces while following OSHA and local building code requirements. Identify and avoid disturbing potential asbestos or other hazardous materials. Additional Responsibilities Load and unload insulation materials and equipment at job sites. Maintain and clean tools and equipment daily. Occasionally interact with homeowners to explain the work being done or answer basic questions. Document work completed (photos, job notes) for company records. Assist with other insulation-related tasks (crawl spaces, walls) when needed. Physical Demands This role is physically demanding — it involves climbing ladders, working in extreme temperatures, carrying materials, and spending most of the day in attics on hands and knees or crouched positions.
