Environmental Services Technician / ASC -
BH Harrison Ambulatory Surgery Center Environmental Services Technician SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for ensuring a safe, clean, attractive environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience preferred, however willing to train individual with initiative and desire to learn.
Other:
Ability to understand written and oral instructions and work well with others. Basic computer skills required.
Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully Perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is required to perform the following: Able to walk and remain in confined environment with sustained standing for extended periods during occasional lengthy surgeries. Able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, reach, grasp, and able to lift 50 pounds of more multiple times throughout shift using proper body mechanics. Able to push and/or pull 100 pounds multiple times throughout the shift using proper body mechanics. Able to tolerate caps, hoods, and all personal protective equipment. Able to work with a variety of chemicals required in the care of peri-operative patients. Acuity to the five senses is required in the contact with patients, physicians, co-workers, visitors and families. Able to remain calm in stressful situations and respond quickly.
