M-F; 7AM-3:30PM+ OT Pay rate: $24-25/HR Job Description Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints. Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Perform MIG welding (GMAW), including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), on sheet metal and structural steel. Use power tools, plasma cutters, and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components. Perform shop math calculations to ensure accurate dimensions and proper assembly. Operate cranes and machining tools for fabrication and material-handling tasks. Assemble welded components using mechanical knowledge of metal materials and fabrication techniques. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly, and site-specific welding projects. Follow American Welding Society (AWS) standards and established welding procedures. Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Requirements Extensive construction-site and/or fabrication-shop experience. Proficiency in MIG welding techniques. Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Strong understanding of shop math and basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and structural steel components. Experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, welding equipment, and hand tools. Mechanical knowledge of machining, assembly, and fabrication processes. Familiarity with crane operation and material handling. Strong understanding of welding and construction-site safety protocols. Ability to perform accurate measurements and quality-control inspections. Commitment to safety, quality, and AWS welding standards. Pay:
