Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Braze Technician to join our manufacturing team, focusing on metal fabrication and welding operations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience with various welding techniques, metalworking tools, and blueprint interpretation to ensure high-quality assembly and fabrication of metal components. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations to ensure precise fabrication. Perform welding tasks using multiple techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding, adhering strictly to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Utilize plasma cutting, machining, and sheet metal fabrication methods to shape and assemble metal materials accurately. Measure, cut, weld, and assemble components while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct fabrication specifications are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during operation of equipment and handling of materials. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues promptly and efficiently. Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for efficiency and quality. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong background in metalworking. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret mechanical drawings for fabrication purposes. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other precision tools. Mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication, machining, plasma cutting, assembly, and general metalworking processes. Experience with construction site safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards. Strong understanding of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop math for precise fabrication tasks. Knowledge of basic math calculations relevant to fabrication work. Ability to operate equipment safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Prior experience in a fabrication shop environment or with mechanical fabrication projects preferred.
