Premier restoration shop seeks a full-time Panel Fabricator to restore, repair, and custom-fabricate vehicle body components. Working as an addition to an existing team of experienced metal fabricators, you will use specialized metalworking techniques to include: Cutting, shaping, and welding steel or aluminum to precise specifications, removing and replacing rusted areas, and aligning body panels to ensure show-quality finishes on classic vehicles.
Key Responsibilities Panel Fabrication & Repair:
Fabricate, repair, and replace damaged body panels, including fenders, doors, roofs, and floor pans.
Metal Shaping:
Utilize English wheels, planishing hammers, brake presses, and hand tools to shape sheet metal components.
Welding & Assembly:
Use TIG/MIG welding for structural integrity and seamless joints.
Rust Removal & Restoration:
Cut out rusted metal, and fabricate patch panels to restore structural integrity.
Alignment & Finishing:
Achieve precise panel gaps, alignment, and "show-quality" fitment. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in automotive metal restoration and custom fabrication in a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in metal shaping, TIG/MIG welding, and metal finishing (grinding, soldering).
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of classic car construction and automotive materials. Attention to

Ability to produce high-quality, detailed, and accurate work.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, and work in standing positions for extended periods.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding or metal fabrication is often preferred.
