Job Description

Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Welders for projects located in or around Stonington CT . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-$33/hour for Laborers and $40-$46/hour for Journeymen based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Assemble and install structural steel components Hoist, position, and align structural steel members, columns, and girders Connect structural steel using bolts, wire, and welds Cut, place, and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) for concrete footings, walls, and slabs Follow behind connectors to secure the structural framework of the building Operate impact wrenches, torque wrenches, and tension control (TC) guns Align steel members using spud wrenches, drift pins, and other alignment tools Install, tighten, and snap bolts to engineering specifications Work safely on beams, scaffolding, and structural framing while utilizing fall protection equipment Follow all OSHA and job site safety requirements
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of structural ironworking or bolt-up crew experience OSHA 10 certification; TI may provide qualified candidates Must have experience with structural steel erection and concrete reinforcement Must have knowledge of welding, rigging, and harness safety Must have own basic hand tools, including spud wrenches and tool belt/frogs Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work long shifts in varying weather conditions Must be comfortable working at heights and able to safely work on structural framing and scaffolding Must maintain strict adherence to OSHA fall protection standards
