Job Summary Laborers needed for structural steel construction. Knowledge of hand tools used in this trade. Will be lifting excess of 50 pounds regularly. Responsibilities and Duties 1. install structural steel materials 2. operate hand tools 3. anchor or brace steel structures, frameworks, or forms 4. build or repair structures in construction, repair, or manufacturing setting 5. cut, shape, fit, or join structural steel or other construction materials 6. install prefabricated building components 9. install siding or sheeting 10. maintain or repair construction machinery or equipment 11. measure and mark lay out for construction projects 12. operate power construction equipment 13. perform safety inspections in construction or resource extraction setting 14. repair cracks, defects, or damage in installed building materials 15. use structural steel fabrication techniques 16. use measuring devices in construction or structural work 17. verify levelness or verticality, using level or plumb bob 18. understand construction specifications 19. mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specifications 20. use hand or power woodworking tools 21. use spray paint equipment 22. climb ladders, scaffolding 23. move or lift heavy objects 24. work as a team member 25. use hazardous disposal techniques 26. use hazardous materials information 27. adhere to safety procedures 28. clean rooms or work areas 29. control operation of compressors 30. clean equipment or machinery 31. fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand 32. assemble and install pipe sections, fittings, or plumbing fixtures 33. apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings 34. apply cleaning solvents 35. assist mechanic, or extractive or construction trades craft worker 36. load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products 37. lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts 38. move materials or goods between work areas 39. operate hoist, winch, or hydraulic boom 40. operate power driven pumps 41. position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures 42. read tape measure 43. read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts 44. signal directions or warnings to coworkers 45. use hand or power tools Qualifications and Skills Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work independently with general instructions. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions. Ability to make independent judgement which have moderate impact on the company. Must have the ability for flexible work schedule which includes early morning hours. Must be ability to obtain a government security badge. Benefits 5 paid holiday's after probation period. 1 week vacation after 1 year. 2 week vacation after 3 years.
