Our Opening and Your Responsibilities:
Prep work weldments from engineering drawings utilizing band saws, drill press, hand grinders, and TIG welding stainless steel. Press brake and sheet metal experience required.
What you will do:
Ability to assemble weldments from drawings. Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, covers. Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance. Operate drill press, and band saw. Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing. Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computer. Cut raw material per engineering drawings. Group required parts prescribed in BOM. Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders. Follow SOP and OPLs. What You Need to
Succeed:
High school diploma or equivalent and able to pass Level 1 Weld Test. Weld Certificate or hands-on experience preferred. Ability to read and understand weld symbols. Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings. Ability to prioritize and problem solve. Ability to efficiently use hand grinders and air tools while possessing a foundational understanding of polishing techniques to achieve high-quality pre-polished parts. ERP system experience (SAP Preferred). Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding. Ability to multi-task. Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements. Able to follow written and oral instruction. Ability to work in a high paced environment. Dexterity and hand and eye coordination. Safety awareness (always wear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe workspace while ensuring proper equipment use and fire safety during welding). Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (i.e. stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work overtime. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
