West Star:

\nAs an Interior technician you will be working on some of the most sophisticated private aircraft in the world. Duties can include removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, sound proofing and fabric accessories; varying amounts of parts replacement/repair, basic electrical system installation, modifications, refurbishments and general mechanical applications on aircraft interiors. Job duties will vary by type and scope, as designated by the Interior Team Leader.\nYou will be

including:\nPerforming general mechanical items on aircraft interiors and related systems.\nPerforming minor modifications with minimal direction.\nPerforming daily turnover sheets, work order processes and weight and balance data.\nMaintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.\nBasic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.\nCleanliness of shop and surroundings.\nWork independently when required.\nEffectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.\nAny other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.\nWhat you'll need to bring with you:\n

Your Education:

\nA High school diploma or equivalent.\nA valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.\n

Your Initiative:

\nWe're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.\n

Your Sense of Responsibility:

\nAttend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.\nNotify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.\nMust have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.\nPerform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.\nFollow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.\nMaintain customer oriented work habits.\nAssist in major modification work as needed.\nOther particulars:\nPhysical Requirements\nLift and carry at least 50 lbs.\nRoutine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.\nRouting or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands with emphasis on grasping, feeling and finger dexterity.\nStanding for long periods of time.\nClimb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas.\nMental Requirements\nUnderstanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, Hazmat, etc.\nWork with others in a professional manner.\nPlan and organize procedures and operations.\nRead various reports and blue prints.\nSupervision\nWork under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Interior Management.\nMay be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.\nWork with minimal supervision when required.\nWorking Conditions\nThe majority of work will be performed in a hangar or shop environment.\nWork outside on the ramp on occasion.\nVaried positions in and around the aircraft.\nEquipment Used\nPersonal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.\nElectrical power tools such as sanders, saws, power drills, etc.\nSheet metal cutters, glue guns, and metal benders.\nTugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.\nSpray booth and all related equipment.\nCompensation & Benefit Information\nThe following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements.
