40 Hours per Week Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Mig and Stick welders for a shop job Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, and performing welds using Mig and/or Stick welding process. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications Perform Mig and/or Stick welding to secure assemblies Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines Requirements Previous experience as a Structural Welder in a shop Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Referral Program If you are an experienced Structural Welder looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and a long-term project, apply today!
