Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiberglass Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining fiberglass components used in water transportation equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet safety standards, quality specifications, and operational requirements.
Description:
Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds to form various products. Spray chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns. Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth, and wood-bracing materials as required by projects being assembled. Mix catalysts into resins and apply layers to mold surfaces prior to placement of fiberglass mats, repeating layers until products have the desired thicknesses and plastics have jelled. Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects. Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair. Complies with applicable safety regulations and best practices, including all OSHA regulations. Assists with training of new hires. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Read a Tape Measure. Read Blueprints. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
Can tolerate prolonged periods standing, bending, and stretching. Must be able to distinguish among colors. Must be able to tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the job site. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

Matching:
You are eligible to enter the plan at the beginning of the first quarter commencing after your start date. You are eligible to participate at 18 years of age. The company will match employee contributions with 50% up to 6% of the employee's gross salary. The matching contributions will vest after your first year (minimum 1,000 hours) of employment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
