Qualified candidates must have 2 or more years experience in the automation (automotive tooling) steel fabrication industry, be able to read prints, and have your own tools. This position is full time, working approximately 55 hours a week, with the occasional Saturday shift depending on workload. Compensation will be based on ability and experience. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation time, medical and a 401K plan. Candidates must be willing to work all scheduled hours, and be punctual. Excessive absenteeism and tardiness will not be tolerated.

Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to execute precise steel fitting and assembly Measure, cut, weld, and assemble heavy steel components using various welding techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to shape and prepare metal materials for fabrication Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure accurate dimensions and fitment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures and protocols at all times Requirements Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation Skilled in welding techniques including, MIG welding, TIG welding Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply shop math effectively for fabrication tasks Commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times during operations Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly in the shop environment
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 - 55.0 per week
