Overview We are seeking a dedicated Fitter or Welder Fitter Combo to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving metal fabrication, assembly, and welding. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical knowledge, welding expertise, and construction site experience to contribute to our high-quality manufacturing processes. Duties Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials Conduct fabrication shop tasks such as sheet metal fabrication, metal materials handling, and assembly of fabricated parts Adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites and in the shop environment to maintain a safe working space Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for material handling and transportation within the shop or construction site Experience Proven construction site experience with familiarity in metal fabrication environments Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding (if applying as combo) Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes, assembly procedures, and use of measuring instruments Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fabrication projects Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment effectively Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to construction sites and manufacturing facilities

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
