Job Summary The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity. Essential Job Responsibilities Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading, and shake out of material. Install safety line and posts. Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
GED or High School Diploma. TWIC Card and/or Real ID's are required. Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
Preferred:
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts. Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions. Must have a valid driver's license. Must pass a background check and do a drug screening. Work Environment:
Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures. Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment. Repairing overhead bridge crane runway systems. Limited working surfaces. Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. Exposure to areas with limited visibility. This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
