Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking skilled and entry-level TIG welders to join our manufacturing team. This position involves performing precise tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding on various metal materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components, to produce high-quality assemblies in accordance with technical specifications. Both experienced and aspiring welders are encouraged to apply, as we provide opportunities for growth and skill development. Duties Execute TIG welding procedures on diverse metal materials, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and ensure precision in fabrication. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and effectively during fabrication tasks. Assist with sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and welding operations in a shop environment following safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment. Follow all safety guidelines and welding standards established by the American Welding Society (AWS) and company policies. Support fabrication shop activities including plasma cutting, machining, and assembly as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Skills Construction site experience or familiarity with industrial environments is a plus. Proficiency in TIG welding; experience with MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and welding preferred. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes including sheet metal work, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations and mechanical systems. Experience with power tools, hand tools, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and plasma cutters. Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, and construction environments. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurements and calculations. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication work. Understanding of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Mechanical fabrication experience is advantageous for entry-level candidates seeking growth opportunities. This role offers a dynamic environment where craftsmanship meets safety compliance.
