Job Description

A structural steel fabricator serving the Harrison, OH area needs a Steel Estimator to bid fabricated and erected steel on commercial and industrial work. You'll own each estimate from takeoff to proposal.

Responsibilities:

Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and write proposals Request and compare quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight Work with steel erectors and project managers on constructability and erection sequencing

Qualifications:

5+ years of structural steel estimating experience Strong blueprint reading skills Familiarity with Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software
