Job Description

Lead Ironworker Position Summary Bryant Industrial is seeking an experienced Lead Ironworker to oversee and work alongside crews on industrial and structural steel projects throughout the Southeastern United States. This hands-on leadership role requires an individual who can supervise field personnel, maintain a safe and productive work environment, and ensure projects are completed according to specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and mentor ironworker crews on assigned job sites. Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications. Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure projects stay on schedule. Erect, install, align, bolt, and secure structural steel and other iron components. Verify measurements, layouts, and proper installation of materials. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations while promoting a strong safety culture. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow. Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project requirements. Troubleshoot field issues and make sound decisions to keep projects moving. Maintain accurate documentation, communicate project progress, and report any concerns to management. Train and develop crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability. Qualifications Several years of experience as an Ironworker, including demonstrated leadership or foreman experience. Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and industrial construction practices. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license required. Travel Requirements Extensive out-of-state travel is required. Ability to travel for extended periods and work on projects throughout the South Eastern United States. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as project demands require. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and work at elevated heights. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
