• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Cut steel, pipe, plate, angle, channel, and other materials to customer speci?cations
• Read measurements and accurately lay out cuts and fabrication work
• Operate saws, torches, grinders, welders, and other metalworking equipment
• Grind, clean, and prepare metal for welding and fabrication
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
• Assist with custom metal projects and repairs
• Pull and prepare materials for customer orders
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Follow proper safety procedures when cutting, welding, and handling materials
• Assist with other steel yard and shop duties as needed
