Vican Manufacturing Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for fitting and welding structural steel, pipe supports, skids, platforms, stairs, handrails, and other custom-fabricated assemblies.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and weld symbols Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components Perform MIG and flux-core welding in accordance with project requirements Verify dimensions, elevations, and fit-up before welding Operate common fabrication equipment, including grinders, saws, torches, and drills Maintain weld quality and workmanship within required tolerances Identify drawing or material discrepancies before fabrication continues Follow all company safety and quality-control procedures Maintain an organized and safe work area Work with supervisors and quality-control personnel to meet production schedules

Qualifications:

Previous structural steel fitting and welding experience preferred Ability to independently read and work from fabrication drawings Proficiency with MIG and flux-core welding Ability to pass a welding test Experience fitting structural members, plates, clips, supports, and miscellaneous steel Ability to accurately use a tape measure, square, level, and other layout tools Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team Must be able to lift and position materials as required in a fabrication-shop environment AWS welding certifications are preferred but not required

Position Details:
