Job Description

About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Specialist (also known as TIG Welder, Sheet Metal Fabricator), you will play a vital role in crafting high-performance industrial components. You will utilize your technical expertise in GTAW and metal forming to transform raw materials into precision-engineered systems that serve critical infrastructure needs. Responsibilities Execute high-quality TIG welds on stainless steel and various sheet metal components to meet structural integrity standards. Operate a wide range of fabrication machinery, including plasma torches, press brakes, rollers, and punch presses, to achieve precise dimensions. Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of custom ductwork and industrial fittings. Conduct rigorous quality inspections on initial and subsequent production pieces to maintain superior output standards. Perform routine equipment maintenance and proactive troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize shop floor efficiency. Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and ensure project timelines are met with high-precision results. Maintain a safe and organized workspace by strictly adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing required protective equipment. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience with TIG welding and GTAW processes. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading blueprints. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools, including tape measures. Solid mathematical skills for layout and fabrication tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended shifts. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a high-volume sheet metal fabrication environment. Certification or experience operating industrial forklifts. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and chemical handling protocols. Willingness to cross-train on diverse shop machinery and forming equipment.
