Job Duties:
This position reports to the Coffield or Luther Metal Fab Facility depending on the vacancies on a daily basis.
Duties include:
the overseeing work of inmates on assigned tasks, ensuring quality and quantity control of finished products, the maintenance of machinery and equipment, job safety training of inmates, maintaining security of tools machinery and equipment, preparing reports and other related documents.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have one year of full¿time experience in metal fabrication or two years of full¿time experience in any production or manufacturing operation, along with correctional or law enforcement experience. A welding certification earned through thirty semester hours may substitute for one year of the required experience. These qualifications show that you have the technical background, practical skills, and correctional awareness needed to succeed in this position.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have solid knowledge of the methods and procedures used in a metal fabrication facility, along with strong problem¿solving techniques for addressing production challenges. You bring experience with quality control standards and understand workflow procedures in a manufacturing environment. You communicate your ideas and instructions clearly to staff, administration, and workers, and you have a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and the properties of metal. These strengths demonstrate your readiness to support safe, efficient, and high¿quality operations.
